Working Loose
01:32
Seized up, halted, no longer fluid. Stuttering, shaking, far from lucid. Laden, impeded, full of weight and emotion. Bowing, buckling, dying for reprieve. Aged, weathered, calloused and brittle. Despondent – won't move, can't work. Stuck, no way out. It's too bad. It's too hard. It's too sad.

Discerning Taste

They can differentiate and pick out the good from the bad. Show insight and understanding. Sophisticated without the airs and graces. A lover of nature and culture with a virtuous disposition. Aware of but not dwelling on faults and failings. They come across as relatable and grounded, endowed with knowledge and wisdom. A connoisseur of life, cognizant of true beauty. A wearer of many hats; dreamer and visionary, scholar and heathen, friend and critic.

Notifiable Incident
01:35

Termination is inevitable. The game's up. You're done for. Your card is marked. The knives are out. There's only one way down. Were they still breathing? Define unharmed? Did it warrant treatment? Was the site disturbed? Exposure, infection, shock, collapse. This one's on you, and it's your fault. Leakage, explosion, injury, death. Malpractice and negligence, they paid the highest price. Deceive, deflect, deny, destroy.

Senseless Violence
00:48
Shocking, haunting and disturbing. Alleged perpetrator and victim, supposedly unknown to one another. Anomalous, irrational and disruptive, state-sanctioned theatrics. Vilify, dehumanise, isolate and quell the outrage. An antithesis of required social conduct? To send a message of fear, to deter others by example.

Long Term Containment
01:51
Ever-growing unease and distrust. In society, developments within oneself. Second-guessing actions, over-analysing remarks. Conspiracist or realist? Paranoid or informed? Pressure cooker tension may only take a spark. Long term containment forces the mind to disarm. There's a restless feeling of dread and despair. Blind to hope, no bright eyes here. Broken or prepared? Wayward or found? Such acceptance has a price to pay, detonation for absolution. To be at one, reach inner peace and quell the doubts of modern life.

Red Herring
01:49
Divert attention, shift the focus to an issue with only superficial relevance. Distract, mislead, move away from the original subject. Conscious evasion, objective deceit. Careless, casual reasoning inevitably leads to false conclusions. You've been had! Hook, line and sinker. Red Herring – destroy the scent, set the hounds at fault.

Bit of a Stickler

Won't accept anything less, all or nothing, with no in-between. Perfectionistic absolutism, forget half measures or vague aspirations. Mere goodwill cannot fulfil this epic notion. Persistent, enduring, tenacious. Obstinate, dogmatic, hard-headed and impassive. Insistent, demanding, zealous. Equitable, virtuous, moral and just. There's a right way to go about this, a code to follow for a good, proper and noble endeavour.

Bleak Horizons
01:54
Deserted in the final moment, left to carry the load. Struggling onward through betrayal, step after step. Go on, give up. Endure, collapse. Persist, succumb. Withstand, fail. What had lain before us? A mirage of ego and haste. Only bleak horizons remain; there's no sanctuary. Impeded by the winds of change, burdened with the pain of deceit. As another route cannot be sought, the decision remains to be made, to proceed or to cease?

Little Giant
00:29
A determined act encountered before. To plan, then numb, execute, conclude. A swift flight from this existence, to call an end, to succumb on your terms. Consumed by reflection, you made that choice. Now we witness the effect, debating the how and the why. And we carry on with a sombre tone down the path already trod.

Modern Epoch
01:40
We had hoped for better times, the fantastic future that never was – liberated from commodification, with great machines to do the heavy lifting. Social emancipation was the goal: sovereignty, independence, autonomy. We're still stuck with parasitic royals, old boys' clubs and no separation of church and state. Whatever happened to nuclear disarmament, global health equity, an end to extinction, borderless continents? The possibilities once seemed limitless. In a world abundant with opportunity, we could dream. We've got bloody war and massacre, pandemic disease and looming climate catastrophe; their take – "screw you, I've got mine", "I'm not putting my neck on the line". Can we alter this path of destruction in an era of despair and misery? Will we mend the rupture between intellect and emotion? Or is all lost? I, for one, hope not!

Hanging by a Thread
01:47
Does this all make sense? Time well spent? Noxious or beneficial? Engaged in a constant struggle; confidence frayed, patience worn thin. I got the urge to cut loose and throw caution to the wind. Say goodbye and so long, sack it all off... Success was never a given! Do ego and jealousy fuel this dissatisfaction? Downhearted but not defeated; finding it rough, yet refusing to give in.
